11 More TV Series In 2018 You Should Be Watching

You are a movie lover right? relax. As usual, I, Rosina the tribeghana.ga Movie Geek, have got your back. 

The following series will give you a good enough reason to be a couch potato during the weekend, or during weekdays too if that’s more your style. Some are continuations while some are fresh. One thing’s for sure though – they are all hella awesome.

1. The Last O.G. If you love to laugh, go get this series ASAP. If you love movies and series that are about blacks, got get this one too. It has three top comedians namely Tiffany Haddish, Tracy Morgan and Cedric The Entertainer. You won’t be disappointed.

2. Power (Season 5). Everyone knows about Ghost, Kanaan and Tommy. Power is one of the best TV series ever made, if not the best. The latest season is even better. After the death of Ghost’s daughter, revenge is sought but everyone is in for a rude shock. The twists and turns are simply amazing.

3. Condor. What is it about? A CIA employee returns from lunch to discover that everyone in his office has been killed; on the run, he goes on to pursue the truth about who is behind the murders while continuing to dodge the hitmen who are after him.

4. The Bold Type (Season 2). This perfect girl drama continues to be better in Season 2. Go get Season 1 first if you’ve never watched it. Also recommended for people who are intrigued by the office culture. The show has the theme of romance and work. Mixing business with pleasure. It’s a glimpse into the outrageous lives and loves of those responsible for a global women’s magazine. Their struggles are about finding love, managing friendships and getting heartbroken.

5. American Woman. Girls will love this. A new, challenging life awaits Bonnie Nolan after she discovers her husband is having an affair. The unconventional mom decides to leave her marriage and raise her two daughters by herself. It’s a struggle, but with the help of best friends Kathleen and Diana, the ladies each create their own brand of independence and mischief.

6. El Chapo (Season 3). The third and final season of El Chapo has officially been released. If you’ve never watched it, you need to apologize to yourself. It centers around the life of famous Mexican drug lord El Chapo, right from when he was a kid to how he grew up to be the biggest drug dealer in the world.

7. Sacred Games. If you’ve always hated Indian productions, you will love this one. It’s not your ordinary Indian TV series or movie. That’s because it has been made by Netflix. It’s kinda like Money Heist. The storyline is really crazy. When you finally finish the last episode, you’ll wish there was more. When a police officer receives an anonymous tip about the location of criminal overlord, he embarks on a chase around Mumbai in what becomes a dangerous cat-and-mouse game. Amidst the chaos, trappings of a corrupt underworld are revealed.

 8. Imposters (Season 2). Season 2 just ended. Imposters is about a Con artist called Maddie who is as beautiful as she is dangerous. Over the years, she has left a trail of unwitting victims who become tormented upon realizing that they have been used and robbed of everything — including their hearts.

9. Beat Shazam. If you love game shows and music in general, don’t miss this series. Hosted by Jamie Foxx, “Beat Shazam” is an interactive game show that pits teams of two against the clock and each other as they attempt to identify the biggest hit songs of all time. In the end, the team with the most money banked will go against Shazam, the popular song identification app, for the chance to win up to $1 million.

 10. Deep State. For the spy and espionage lovers, here is another one for you. It’s full of action. In it, a former spy is drawn into a covert intelligence war and global conspiracy to profit from the spread of chaos in the Middle East.

 11. Claws (Season 2). This is another series that both ladies and guys will deeply enjoy. It is a sharp, thrilling look at a nail salon run by Niecy Nash, who juggles manicures, drug dealing and money laundering. The powerhouse cast includes The Good Wife’s Carrie Preston, Chris Brown’s ex Karauche and Breaking Bad’s Dean Norris.
